ADA CADPartners came into being in 1991 with the merger of Aeronautical Designs Australia (formed in 1988) and CAD Partners (an AutoCAD solution provider formed in 1989) to take advantage of the unique skill sets available in both companies in providing services to engineering, CAD and drafting professionals.

The company has since become the leading supplier of Mechanical Engineering PC based solutions in Queensland, is a leading supplier of AutoCAD and other engineering software and hardware solutions.

ADA CADPartners is an Autodesk Premiere Solutions Provider – the highest accreditation available to an AutoCAD dealer – specialising in mechanical engineering solutions and AutoCAD Design.

In 1994 ADA CADPartners were appointed by Autodesk Australia as a Premier Training Centre for AutoCAD outside the normal realm of TAFE colleges, to provide a training facility for the commercial user.

In 1999 ADA CADPartners were appointed as the exclusive dealer for Autodesk Inventor, the new solid modelling solution using adaptive technology for advanced engineering and mechanical design.

Colin Tyack: Managing Director

Colin also has a strong background in the engineering field with extensive practical experience in mechanical, structural and electrical engineering. Colin was one of the founding principals of CADPartners and as such has had a long association with AutoCAD and it’s many application packages. Colin is the author of the draPRO range of AutoCAD drafting utilities, which is used across Australia and is involved in ongoing programming for in-house use and outside contracts. Colin heads the training and support section of ADA CADPartners and brings to the company an extensive knowledge of AutoCAD and associated mechanical applications. Networking, hardware configuration, and trouble shooting are just a few of Colin’s skills available to ADA CADPartners clients.

Mike Jarvis: Director / Technical Support

Mike Jarvis brings to ADA CADPartners a wealth of Knowledge in the mechanical engineering area. He has over 20 years experience in the design arena and was the founding principal of Aeronautical Designs Australia (the ADA in ADA CADPartners). Mike is a Qualified Commercial Helicopter Pilot and in this role he does some flying for a helicopter company on the gold coast doing film work. Keep an eye out for Pterodactyl Helicopters in 2004. More on this to come later. Mike has been involved with AutoCAD since it’s release and is an acknowledged expert in the area of LISP and VB programming within AutoCAD. Mike designed and wrote AutoSYS (a management module for AutoCAD) which has over 1600 licences in use around Australia as well as AutoSYS Lite and The application Loader. Along with Colin, Mike writes any specialised programs required by individual customers to their specifications. With a comprehensive understanding of engineering applications and different computer packages available on the market, it was natural that Mike assume a technical role within ADA CADPartners. Mike acts as a technical consultant to the sales and marketing team as well as actively being involved in demonstrations, specialised training and bureau work.

Sam DiBartolo: Sales Manager

Sam has been involved in the sale of Autodesk products and solutions for over 13 years. As such he has a wealth of experience across a wide range of CAD disciplines and is well placed to provide the right solution to meet our clients needs.

Sam is in charge of all marketing and product selection decisions, ensuring ADA CADPartners is able to offer the most comprehensive range of software, hardware and services needed to meet the demands of the mechanical and general CAD
markets.

Sam heads the dedicated and experienced sales team at ADA CADPartners and is a vital member of the management structure at ADA CADPartners.
